broadcaster-hand    Introducing the Livestream Broadcaster – a small device with big possibilities. The Livestream Broadcaster streams live HD video to any device without the PC. It functions as a desktop encoder connected to a multi-camera video production switcher or as a battery powered (via three enclosed AA batteries) portable wireless encoder mounted to a camera and streaming via Wi-Fi or a USB 3G/4G Wireless Modem.

  • Is there an HD-SDI Version?

    Theres no HD-SDI version available, however, if you are using the Broadcaster as a desktop encoder, you can purchase a BlackMagic Design HD-SDI to HDMI converter from a 3rd party. The conversion does not degrade the video signal or quality in any way.

  • What USB 3G/4G modems are supported?

    Below please find the list of supported US Modems:

    • Verizon Pantech UML290
    • T-Mobile Jet 2.0
    • AT&T USBConnect Momentum
    • Clear Stick Atlas

    These modems were all tested with their latest firmware. Please be sure to install all latest upgrades for the best compatibility.

    Many more modems will work with the Livestream Broadcaster, including international carriers, but we do not officially support them at this time.

  • How do I update the software/firmware on my Broadcaster?

    Stay up-to-date with bug fixes and new features through online firmware updates. Average firmware installation time (including download over ethernet) 00:02:50

  • Does it support multi-bitrate encoding?

    The device only supports single bitrate encoding (You can choose between Mobile, Normal, Medium, High and HD 720p (2.3Mbps). We have plans to couple it with a paid for cloud transcoding service in the near future.

  • Can the Broadcaster stream to other live streaming services or CDNs?

    The device only works with the New Livestream service which is why we are able to make the pricing so affordable.

  • Can the Broadcaster stream to the Original Livestream?

    No, The Broadcaster only streams to the New Livestream.

  • What is the warranty?

    A 12 month limited warranty is included
